The Mission Commission

The Yosemite Lakes Community Church of the Sierras has always contributed ten percent of their tithes and offerings received towards the mission field.  The Church currently supports 35 missionaries and organizations.

We as a group of mission minded men and women meet several times over the course of the year…

  • To keep in contact with Missionaries
  • To pray for Missionaries
  • To make financial support decisions.
  • To meet the special needs of Missionaries throughout the year as they arise.

We do our best to make sure the missionaries that we support feel loved and cared for.  We send a gift at Christmas and encourage them during difficult times.

The spiritual gifts of administration, intercession, compassion, discernment, and good stewardship are exercised during the mission commission meetings, as well as pastoral guidance.

Both local missionaries here in the United States and those in far away countries are supported with the hope of  YLCCOTS representing Christ throughout the entire world.

We also support other missionaries in the world whose names we cannot disclose.  Please pray for the safety of these anonymous workers for Christ.

Each January new missionaries are considered for support, as well as increasing giving to those in need.  Our greatest emphasis to date is to see to it that we support those student and adults from our congregation, that are actively maturing and being called to the mission field.
